Who Is Laju Iren?
Pastor Laju Iren is renowned as The Lord’s Story Teller. She possesses more than 21 years of writing experience.
Her books have sold more than 7,000 copies, of which six of her titles were bestselling. She has trained over 3,000 writers, and at least 20 persons become authors yearly through her coaching and inspiration.
Personal Life (Early/recent)
Laju Iren was born on August 25, 1991. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Covenant University, Ogun, and a Master’s degree from the University of Lagos. Both programs’ field of study is mass communication. She also got admission to a Doctorate program but didn’t enroll to pursue her passions.
Laju is married to a Nigerian preacher, gospel songwriter, and founder of CCI Global, Pastor Emmanuel Aniefiok Iren. They completed their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree education at the same university.
They wedded in November 2014, when she was 23 years old, and he was 24. The couple has two daughters.
Career – Start to Present
Laju started writing when she was a child. She had a notebook in which she wrote her stories on. Laju initially loved to write poems before she diversified to fiction.
She completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program at Vanguard Newspaper in 2012. Not long after, she landed a full-time job at Vanguard. She then created time to complete her first book, which she named “Girlcyclopaedia.”
She has also published the following books in her name:

- Finding Miriam
- Mirror Mirror
- Selfies with Bible Girls
- Dating Intelligently
One of her books was the #1 bestseller on Okada Books in 2020. All her titles are also bestselling on other platforms. As a book writing coach, she offers a “Become an Author in 30 Days” course, which is free for everyone interested in publishing a book. She has taught many people how to write a book, and most of them have eventually become an author.
Laju Iren also runs a charity called “Have You Eaten”, which feeds and empowers the poor.
You can also call Laju “Director Laju (DL)”, as she is the founder of Laju Iren Films. She has produced three movies so far, titled “Love is a Star”, “Nigerian Son”, and “During Ever After”.
Laju Iren was featured in the Flutterwave advert during Big Brother Naija (BBN) of the Year 2020 – “Lockdown” housemates.
