Who Is Sabinus?
Sabinus, named Mr Funny on his social media handles, is a content creator, Stand-up comedian, and actor that has been making viral skits since 2019. He created a number of comedy skits during his university years.
We all know him for wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt, black trousers, and a short tie in his comedy skits. He often calls himself an Investor, in which he tells girls he is a foreign investor in order to entice them.
Mr Funny spent most of his life in Rivers State and even earned a Bachelor’s degree within the State.

Sabinus completed primary and secondary school in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies at UNIPORT.
Moreover, he is in a longtime relationship with Mercy Inyama, popular as Ciana Chapman, on social media. According to reports, he has been dating her for almost a decade.
They graduated from the same department at UNIPORT.
Career – From 2015 Till Date
One thing you may not know about Sabinus is that he started comedy in 2015 but didn’t get viral until 2019. This was after he followed his dreams and uploaded several comedy skits on his social media handles. He started getting famous quickly when top Instagram influencers started sharing his skits.
His fame has got him several awards and nominations. He has also been featured in some Nollywood movies, such as The Man of War and The Billionaire’s Bride.
Sabinus has a few Nollywood actors as role models who made him take the plunge in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Among them are Charles Inojie and Mr Ibu.
He was among the comedians nominated in the Maiden edition of the Humor Awards (2021), one of the top comedy awards shows in Africa. Legit.ng also awarded him the Best Male Skit Maker Award of the year 2022.
On September 30, 2022, he hosted his first international show, “Sabinus Live in London,” at The Lighthouse Event Centre.
In 2021, Sabinus was recognized as the Creative Social Comedian of the Year and received the DENSA Awards for this achievement.
He also won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Online Social Content Creator in 2022.
