Who is Bolanle Ninalowo?
Bolanle Ninalowo, popularly known as Nino or Makanaki, is a big name in the Nollywood industry, a businessman, and a fitness enthusiast. He is a versatile actor, usually given complex roles.
Nino is also called ‘The New Hunk’ of Nollywood. He is currently worth over $500,000, amassed through his movie roles, business, and endorsement deals.
Personal Life (Early/recent)
Bolanle Ninalowo was born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on May 7, 1980. After graduating from secondary school in 1995, he moved to Chicago, where he stayed for 15 years. He then returned to Nigeria in 2010.
While in the States, he studied Accounting at Devry University, Illinois, and Marketing at Keller Graduate School of Management.
He has been married to Bunmi Ninalowo for 12 years. They have two children together: Aliyah and Morakinyo.
Career
Nino started his career as a banker at Bank One before working as an accountant at General Growth Properties, Chicago. He later returned to Nigeria and worked at Guarantee Trust Bank before making it into the Nigerian film industry.
His first acting role was in the movie ‘Rebirth,’ which he produced and premiered in the US in 2010. That same year, he appeared in the TV series ‘Revelation’.
Nino took a break from acting to focus on his record label, but it flopped after a few years. He returned to Nollywood in 2014 and has never backed out since then. Nino has starred in several Nollywood movies and TV series, including Husbands of Lagos, Coming From Insanity, A Fire In The Rain, The Gateman, Road To Yesterday, Picture Perfect, Tiwa’s Baggage, Ratnik, etc.
One of his most outstanding roles was in the movie titled “The Visit.” It got him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 AMVCA. Apart from acting and producing films, Nino is an entrepreneur. He owns a perfume company and a real estate company called Nino Properties.
Nino is also an ambassador for brands such as Adron Homes and Properties, DNJ Investment Ltd, Jagaban Distillers, and Baileys.
