Williams Uchemba is a Nollywood actor, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He started out as a child-actor in classic Nollywood films. So he has been in the movie industry for over 20 years.
He has over 30,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and he is estimated to be worth over $3 million dollars.
Personal Life (Early/recent)
Williams Uchemba is an indigene of Umueze village in Mbaitolu area of Imo State, Nigeria. He grew up with his Parents Mr and Mrs Uche Mbah and six siblings named Chioma, Grace, Nkechi, Chizo, Sandra and Nwabueze.
His father is a well known business man and one of his sisters, Sandra Uchemba is an actress
He was born October 22, in Abia State, Nigeria where he had his primary and secondary education before he moved to Enugu to further his studies.
He attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of History and International Studies in 2012.
Years later, Williams went on to study Entrepreneurial Studies at Harvard university in 2020. The following year, he studied Business Administration and Management at The University of British Columbia and in 2022, he attended University of Cambridge to study Finance.
On November 15, 2020, He got married to Brunella Oscar, an American-trained Physician. In February 2022, they welcomed their first child, Chikamara Isabella Uchemba.
Williams Uchemba started out in the movie industry as a child-actor. He featured in six classic Nollywood movies like Dorathy My Love, The World of Riches and Without Goodbye.
His first role was as Johnny in the 2003 home video ‘Beyond Belief’. That same year, he played Ikemefuna in ‘Egg of Life’.
His first role in the modern day Nollywood industry was in 2016, after taking a break for seven years, he reappeared on screen as Charles in the film ‘No Strings Attached’.
The following year, he featured as Ifeanyi alongside Alex Ekubo and Monalisa Chinda in the 2017 film ‘At Your Service’.
He is recently very famous for his role as Johnny in ‘Merry Men 2’, Obum in ‘Sugar Rush’, Obiora in ‘Dear Affy’ and Eugene in ‘Quam’s Money’
In 2021, he portrayed Uche Okafor, the main character in ‘Dream Job’. Starring Sophie Alakija, Timini Egbuson, Stanley Chibuna and Bello Kreb.
Williams is also a humanitarian and a philanthropist. In 2017, he founded The Williams Uchemba’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the aim of making the world a happier place to live in.
He is also an entrepreneur, that is into real estate development and he owns a film production company called Prosthesis Entertainment Limited.
In 2022, he created TxE, a platform to groom African Youth in the tech and business space.
