Who is Todd Centeio?

Todd Anthony Centeio is an American football player for the Orlando Guardians of XFL. He weighs 221 lb and is 6ft tall. His playing position is quarterback. Todd Centeio is a recipient of three awards from his college career.

Early Life

Todd Centeio was born on September 7, 1998, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He attended Royal Palm Beach High School. In his freshman and sophomore years, he played high school football for the school team.

During his time with the team, he threw for over 2000 yards, and he had a record of 27 touchdowns.

Shortly after, he moved to Palm Beach Gardens, where he attended William T. Dwyer High School for his junior and senior years.

Todd didn’t take part in the football games during his junior year because he was diagnosed with Lupus.

He returned to the team in his senior year, and he took part in the senior season games.

In his senior season, he threw for 2,344 yards and 31 touchdowns and was honoured with First-Team All-Palm Beach Football 8A-6A honors.

College Career 

Temple 

Todd Centeio began his college football career with Temple in 2017. 

The first game he took part in was in Temple’s match against UMass. 

That same season, he was served a redshirt as a result of his absence in the final nine games of the season.

In 2018, he entered the season as a quarterback along with Anthony Russo and Frank Nutile.

He served as the personal protector on the Owl’s punt team. That same season, he threw his first career touchdown pass.

In 2019, he featured in lots of games throughout the season, playing against opponents like East Carolina, No. 23 Memphis, and South Florida.

He announced late in the year that he would be transferring to another college the following season.

Colorado State

Todd Centeio transferred to Colorado State in 2020. His first three games was in his redshirt junior season. His first full start was against Frensno State.

In 2021, he participated in the season games from the very beginning, taking part in all 12 games that the College team played.

He finished the season with a notable record in pass attempts, pass completions, touchdowns, rushing yards and touchdowns.

At the end of the 2021 season, he announced that he would transfer to another college again.

James Madison

In 2022, Todd Centeio transferred to James Madison as a graduate student.

He joined the football team and took part in ten games in the 2022 season.

Though he was new on the team, he still had a notable record of 110 rushing yards. Todd also set a record of 468 passing yards for the college.

At the 2022 Oyster Bowl games, He threw for 304 yards and had an 85.7 completion percentage in the team’s 37–3 win.

At the end of the season, he was recognized with 3 awards.

Professional Career 

On June 30, 2023, the Orlando Guardians signed Todd Centeio as one of the Quarterbacks in their 2023 XFL roster.
