Who Is Timini Egbuson?

Timini James Egbuson, popularly known as Timini or Badboy T, is a Nollywood actor, model and a show host. He has been in the movie industry for 13 years and has featured in lots of blockbusters movies and television series.

He has over 1.5 million followers on Instagram, and his net worth is about $600,000.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Timini Egbuson was born in Bayelsa, State, Nigeria, on June 10, 1987. He is the last of four children; two brothers and a sister, Dakore Egbuson-Akande. She is his role model in the movie industry.

He attended three elementary schools: Greenspring Montessori, The Afro School, and St Catherine’s School, Lagos. Afterward, he enrolled at Adebayo Mokuolu College, Lagos, for his secondary education.

In 2011, he graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Career

In 2008, Timini began working at an e-commerce company, until 2010 when he quit to take up a role in Africa’s most popular telenovela ‘Tinsel’.

His next appearance onscreen was in 2013, where he played Tobi in MTV edutainment series ‘Shuga’ along with Bukola Oladipupo, Efa Iwara, Chimezie Imo and other youngsters.

Other TV series that Timini has graced with his talent are Fifty The Series, Room 420, The Smart Money Woman, Tough Love.

His first role in a lengthy film was in 2015 as Mohammed in the film ‘Skinny Girl in Transit’. Later in the year, he got cast in the movie ‘Fifty’, where he played ‘Jamal’, the young guy with an identity crisis that resulted from shocking narratives around his parentage.

Since then Timini has featured alongside Nollywood bests in several movies some of which includes: Dark Spotlight, Isoken, Kamsi, Elevator Baby, Dear Affy, Breaded Life, The Order of Things and A Young Time Ago.

In 2017, Timini Egbuson starred with Rahama Sadau, Christopher Darko, Lanre Hassan and Etinosa Idemudia in the 2017 adventure film ‘Ajuwaya’ where he played the lead role as Collins.

The following year, he was the main character in the movie ‘The Auction’

In the movie, he portrayed ‘Bamidele Moore’ a famous musician whose career almost took a downturn.

In 2021, he played Josiah Otunta in the comedy film ‘Dwindle’. Months later, he featured as ‘Ikenna’ in ‘Suffer The Witch’ the third part of a three-part anthology film titled ‘Juju Stories’.

Apart from acting, Timini Egbuson also doubles as a model and a show host.

He co-hosted the Red carpet of GT Bank’s Fashion Week with Sharon Ooja in 2017.
