Who is Reuben Foster?

Reuben Foster is an American football player who is a linebacker for the Houston Roughnecks football team in Houston, Texas, USA. He stands at 6’ 1” and weighs 228 pounds. Reuben has played for different teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders, and Pittsburgh Maulers.

He was called the Best Linebacker Prospect of his class when attending Auburn High School in Alabama. He is also a Butkus Award recipient and CFP National champion.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Reuben Foster is a native of Roanoke, Alabama, USA, and was born on April 4, 1994, to Danny Foster and Inita Berry Paige. His parents had marital issues in November 1995 when his father, Danny shot his mother in the back. At this time, she was still carrying Reuben as he was 18 months old. The grand jury indicted him in 1996 but he was eventually arrested in California. He was then extradited to Randolph County in Alabama but broke out of prison a few months later in December.

Danny adopted a new identity in Miami and was on the run for up to 16 years until his final extradition to Randolph County. With all said, Reuben grew up with his mother, as his parents were estranged all through.

After his sixth grade, he relocated to LaGrange, Georgia, where he enrolled in Troup County High School and started playing football.

In his first year at Troup County, he played in a game against the New Schools in Carver, Atlanta, Georgia, and ended his freshman season with 110 tackles.

Reuben then returned to Alabama and attended Auburn High School from 2013 to 2016. During his senior year, he helped the Auburn High School Tigers to reach the quarterfinals of the Class 6A playoffs, recording 70 solo tackles and two sacks.

He is also a participant in the 2013 Under Armour High School All-America Game and a recipient of the Defensive MVP honors.

Reuben Foster has a daughter (A’Zyia) with his ex-girlfriend, Elissa Ennis. A’Zyia was born in 2009.

  • July 3, 2018 – Reuben was suspended from playing in two games. For his offence, he violated the National Football League (NFL) personal conduct policy relating to drugs, misdemeanor, and weapons.
  • November 27, 2018 – Washington Commanders claimed him off waivers and didn’t release him until 2020.
  • January 27, 2023 – Pittsburgh Maulers signed Reuben but dissolved shortly afterwards.
  • January 5, 2024 – Houston Roughnecks signed Reuben in the 2024 UFL dispersal draft
