Who Is Paul Adams?

Paul Adams is a Nollywood star, scriptwriter, film producer, and professional graphics designer. He has been in the media world for over three decades.

He once worked as an illustrator in some newspaper publications and as a cartoonist in Vanguard newspaper before retiring to focus fully on acting and film production.

Since then, he has featured in several award-winning movies and TV series such as La Femme Anjola, 93 Days, and Far From Home.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Paul Adams was born in Benin, Edo, Nigeria, on January 28, 1957. He completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. After graduating from secondary school, he moved to Lagos for greener pastures.

He graduated with a Diploma in Graphics Design from Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos State. 

Paul Adams is married to Mojisola Omolola Falola, and they have a daughter named Jewel.

Career

Paul Adams started his acting career as a stage actor in Church. One of the dramas, ‘Jesus the Light of the World’ caught the attention of his friend, Patrick Doyle, who recommended him to Zeb Ejiro, the producer of the TV series ‘Ripples’.

Paul got a role in the series in 1987, which marked the beginning of his profession as an on-screen actor. His debut performance earned him a role in another soap opera known as ‘Checkmate.’

He has been featured in other TV shows like Tales of Eve, Super Story, Thrift Collector, Magnate, Hotel Majestic, and Taste of Love. 

Paul Adams also continued to star in stage plays. These include Ajanaku, Dance of the Maidens, The King Must Dance, Wakaa the Musical, King of Ijudiya, and Itan.

At this time, he also worked as an illustrator for Newswatch magazine and some other newspapers. He subsequently became a cartoonist at Vanguard Newspaper where he worked for ten years, before he retired in 1999 to fully focus on the entertainment industry.

Upon his retirement, he wrote and produced his first movie ‘Shackles’ in 1999 and his first TV series ‘Lifestyle’, which was shown on Africa Magic in 2007.

In 2014, he produced an environmental activism series called ‘NERSA WATCH’ for the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency.

Recently, he featured alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bimbo Akintola, Funke Akindele, and Adesua Etomi in the Netflix original young adult TV series, ‘Far From Home.’

Paul Adams’ net worth is over $800,000.
