Who Is Omowunmi Dada?

Omowunmi Dada is an actress renowned in the Nigerian film industry for her role in Jemeji, an M-Net television series as Folake. She has been featured in several movies, short films, TV series, animations, and stage plays.

Wunmi is also a voice-over artist, model, and presenter.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Omowunmi Dada grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, where she attended Ifako International Nursery and Primary School, and was part of the Yoruba Cultural Troupe. She completed her secondary education at Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi, Lagos.

As regards her higher education, she graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts.

Omowumi Dada is currently engaged, as her fiancé proposed marriage to her on December 26, 2022.

Despite being a famous Nollywood actor, she aspires to become a movie director, as well as produce her own movies.


Omowunmi Dada started acting while in university. She featured in stage plays, until her first major stage performance in Moremi Ajasoro, directed by Femi Oke.

Her debut acting role in a movie was in the Nollywood Yoruba film titled Oya.

As a voice-over artist, Omowunmi played the voice of the titular character in Nigeria’s first animation film, Sade.

She is a brand ambassador for Africa’s popular online shopping platform, Jumia Nigeria.
