Personal Life (Early/recent)

Emuobonuvie Neo Akpofure is from a polygamous family of 30 children. He grew up living with his mother, who reportedly left his dad. His mother was a prison warder, while his father, Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure, is a renowned legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He is a founding partner of E.L. Akpofure Chambers and Irese Chambers.

Chief Akpofure earned the SAN title in 1998. He has served as a legal counsel for many leading companies in Nigeria, including UBA.

His cousin is Venita Akpofure, a housemate in the BBN show in 2020 tagged the Pepper Dem edition.

Neo completed his primary and secondary education in Delta State. He subsequently enrolled for a Law degree at the University of Calabar.

He disclosed that he never wanted to study law, as he wished to do anything else different from his father’s discipline. More than 10 of his siblings are lawyers, and he didn’t intend to follow anyone’s footsteps. He didn’t return to UNICAL to complete his education after leaving the Big Brother house.

Neo can sketch pretty well, which he learned during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. During this period, he auditioned for the Big Brother Naija TV reality show. Interestingly, he was in his third year of study when he joined the show, but all schools in Nigeria were closed then due to social distancing.

When asked to talk about his proudest achievement, he described it as when he won ₦500,000 from a show organized by Indomie Nigeria.

Neo is not yet married and currently has no relationship. He and Vee, a fellow BBN housemate, called their relationship quits sometime in March 2023.

He does not tolerate inequality and bullying, even though he is loving and tolerant of many things.

Neo was 26 years old when he joined the BBN show in 2020. He worked as a ride-hailing driver in Lagos, using a car he owned.

He emerged as one of the top 5 finalists in the BBNaija house until his eviction. Even though he didn’t win the TV reality show’s grand prize, participating in it changed his life.

Above all, Neo is one of the BBN housemates who returned for the All-Star Edition in 2023. Of course, Ebuka is still its host.
