Who Is Nancy Isime?

Nancy Isime is an award-winning Nollywood actress, show host, model and TV personality. 

She is currently very famous for her show ‘The Nancy Isime Show’, that recently concluded its 4th season and was sponsored by Indomie, Viva plus detergent, Power oil, etc.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Nancy Isime was born on December 17, 1991 to Mr and Mrs Isime in Edo State, Nigeria.

The Isime’s are originally from the Esan tribe in Edo State. Nancy has two siblings and she was brought up by her father at the age of five after the demise of her mother. 

She had her Early life in Lagos State where she completed her primary and junior secondary education before moving to Benin city to start her senior secondary school 

Upon completion of her secondary education, she enrolled for a six-month foundational programme at the University of Port Harcourt. After which she returned to Lagos State to obtain a diploma in Social work at the University of Lagos.

Career

Nancy Isime started her career with a role in a TV series titled ‘Echoes’ in 2011. In 2015, she had her first role in a Nollywood film ‘The Matchmaker’.

Since then, Nancy has featured in over 80 movies including The Surrogate, Devil’s Missed Call, Beauty in the Broken, Kambili, Tussle, Unshaken, Sore Heart, Foreigner’s God, Dear Diary, A Ride Too Far, etc.

In 2021, she got the lead role along with Kunle Remi in the movie ‘Unconventional’.

She is famous for her lead role as Kemi in the 2022 Netflix Original Crime Series ‘Blood Sisters’. Starring Ini Dima-Okojie, Kate Henshaw, Kehinde Bankole and Daniel Etim.

In 2023, she portrayed Shalewa in the Nigerian Crime thriller ‘Shanty Town’. Later in the year, she played the main character as Bolanle Davis alongside Deyemi Okanlawon in the romance drama film ‘Love in a Pandemic’.

Apart from acting, Nancy is also a model and a show host. She worked as a model for a few companies like Konga Online, Shakara Couture, House of Marie, e.t.c.

Nancy was a presenter for the television shows The Squeeze and What’s Hot. She was also the backstage anchor for MTN Project Fame season 7.

In 2016, she became the host for a trending show on HipTV, a position that was initially manned by Toke Makinwa.

She co-hosted the Headies Award with Reminisce in 2019 and Bovi in 2020.

In 2021, she was the presenter for ‘The Voice Nigeria’, a music talent show that aired on TV and online. In 2019, Nancy birthed her first brain child, ‘The Nancy Isime Show’, a TV show where she invites top celebrities for interviews, games and fun sessions. 

She is also the CEO of Nip Studios and the executive producer of her show.
