Who Is Lucky Udu?

Lucky Udu is a Nigerian activist, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. He’s the president of the Lucky Udu Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational and vocational training to young people from low-income backgrounds

Additionally, Lucky Udu is the founder and CEO of Lucky Udu Studio, a video production company that focuses on creating social impact content. As of 2023, he’s unmarried, but he has a net worth of an estimated $1.3 million.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Lucky Udu was conceived in Owanta, Delta State, Nigeria, in 1997. He hails from Owanta, Ika North East Local Government, Delta State. His dad died when he was barely 2 years old, thereafter, His family then moved to stay with his uncle in Port Harcourt.

Shortly after, his mom passed away as well, life soon became a living hell for him. When Lucky turned 14 years old, his uncle chased him out of the house and back to Delta with the excuse that he couldn’t keep up with his shortcomings.

Despite his difficult circumstances, Udu excelled in school and graduated from Elizade University with a degree in English. Today, Lucky added to his name an honorary doctorate award from the Institute of Corporate and Public Administrators of Nigeria (ICPAN). The event happened on September 25, 2001, at the ICPAN fellowship event.

Journey to Stardom

After graduating from university, Udu began working as a video producer. He quickly gained a reputation for his ability to create engaging and informative videos that raise awareness about social issues.

In 2019, he founded Lucky Udu Studio to focus on creating social impact content. So far, many major media have featured Udu’s work. They include CNN, the BBC, and Al Jazeera.

In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Udu is also a passionate advocate for poverty alleviation. He is the founder of the Lucky Udu Foundation.

The foundation he created provides educational and vocational training to young people from low-income backgrounds. They also donated food and other essential supplies to families in need.

Udu is a role model for young people in Nigeria and Africa. He is also an inspiration to those who are working to make the world a better place.

Philanthropy Works of Lucky Udu

The CEO of Lucky Udo Studio loves to keep his philanthropic attributes hidden. However, the media captured that he started a movement that helped over 45 hungry Elizade University students.

He gave them 22,500 naira each, and over 200 students were asked not to pay for laboratory, and matriculation gowns. He did so while studying at the university.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he fed over 45 families in his community, Delta State. So far, he has bagged numerous awards for his work, including the Future Awards Africa Prize for Creative Artist of the Year.
