Katrina Kaif, whose full name is Katrina Turquotte, was born on July 16, 1983, in Hong Kong. Her father, Mohammed Kaif, is of Kashmiri descent, while her mother, Suzanne Turquotte, is a British lawyer and charity worker.

Her parents divorced when she was young. Katrina’s mom raised her and her seven siblings all alone.

While growing up, their family was always moving from one country to another. This includes Hong Kong, China, Hawaii, England, Japan, and France. Katrina never really attended any regular school because of the constant moving, therefore, she was homeschooled.

Career as a Model and Actress

Katrina began modeling at a young age and appeared in her first commercial at 14. In 2003, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling.

Her striking beauty and tall, slender frame quickly caught the attention of numerous brands and designers. Leading to a successful career in the world of fashion.

During a fashion show in London, she was spotted by a filmmaker, Kaizad Gustad. He offered her a role in his film “Boom” (2003). This marked her entry into acting.
