Joe French was born on July 8, 2000, in Orlando, Florida. He attended Master’s Academy in Orlando, where he was a standout basketball player.

As a junior, he averaged 22 points per game and led his team to a district championship. They soon named him to the Class 2A All-State First Team.

French signed with Bethune-Cookman University in 2019. During freshman year, Joe averaged 5.5 points per game. This cemented his stay at the university and ultimately made him one of the top players of the team.

French transferred to Florida Atlantic University in 2021. In his first season with the Owls, he averaged 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. As such, they were named to the All-Conference USA Second Team.


French’s collegiate journey began at Bethune-Cookman University. He quickly established himself as a legendary player for the Wildcats.

In his sophomore season (2021-2022), he bloomed, into a dominant force, averaging 15.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. His outstanding performances earned him First-Team All-SWAC honors.

Sadly, he missed the 2020–21 season due to a knee injury. However, he soon recovered, and moving forward, Joe French won the SWAC Tournament MVP award. Thus leading Bethune-Cookman to both the regular-season and tournament championships.

Following his impressive sophomore campaign, French transferred to Florida Atlantic University. In the 2022-2023 season, Joe showcased his offensive prowess, averaging 16.3 points per game while demonstrating his all-around abilities with 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.


While his statistics highlight his scoring ability, three-point shooting, and all-around contributions, French’s impact extends beyond the numbers.
