Gene Pryor was born in Visalia, California, USA, on January 16, 1998. There is currently limited information about his parents, Harry and Michelle Brooks. He has six siblings, comprising three brothers and three sisters. Pryor grew up in the same city, starting his secondary education at the College of the Sequoias. He subsequently attended Mt Whitney High School, majoring in Sociology.
As regards his marital status, he does not have a spouse or child yet. He has never talked about his past and current relationships on social media or anywhere else.
Gene Pryor was lettered for four years after graduating from Mt Whitney HS in 2016. He started by playing both sides and later emerged as an All-West Yosemite League honors (×3).
Pryor was named the first-team all-WYL in 2015. He is also a recipient of the Seth A. Miller Pioneer Achievement Award.
Before joining UH, he represented the College of the Sequoias in two seasons, lining up at guard and tackle.
Gene Pryor appeared in two games in 2018 as a reserve offensive lineman. He played against Colorado State on August 25 and against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team.
Pryor won the Most Improved Player Award in 2019 and was one of the All-Mountain West College Football honors. He began 14 games on the offensive line. Pryor eventually became a key member of the offensive line unit. The following year, he started straight games at right tackle.
In 2021, Pryor was among the four offensive players to start every game of the season. He started two games in three seasons with 35 career starts. Besides, he was one of the players who played in the SPIRAL Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
