Personal Life (Early/recent)
Born on October 29, 2001, in Columbia, South Carolina, Dillon Jones began his basketball journey at a young age. He attended Ridge View High School in South Carolina, where he quickly established himself as a talented player.
As a senior, he averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. Thus leading his team to the state championship game.
Dillon’s outstanding performance earned him numerous accolades. This includes being named to the All-State First Team and being recognized as the South Carolina Player of the Year.
After graduating from high school, Dillon Jones committed to playing college basketball for the Weber State Wildcats of the Big Sky Conference. He immediately made an impact on the team, starting in all 23 games of his freshman season.
Dillion Jones averaged 8.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, leading the conference with 37 total steals and 1.6 steals per game. His exceptional performance earned him the prestigious Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year award.
Dillon Jones continued his impressive trajectory throughout his sophomore and junior seasons. He became a dominant force on both ends of the court, averaging double-doubles in points and rebounds.
In his sophomore year, he averaged 11.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. While in his junior year, he increased his output to 15.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game.
They soon named him to the All-Big Sky First Team both years and he was also recognized as the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year in his junior season.
The 2023-2024 season marks Dillon Jones’ senior year at Weber State. He is expected to be one of the best players in the Big Sky Conference and a potential NBA draft pick.
He has already shown flashes of his talent. Averaging 16.5 points and 12.4 rebounds per game through the first seven games of the season.
