Who is Davin Ross?

Davin Ross is a Canadian football player who plays wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He’s 6’2 tall and a 200-pound wide receiver with a strong work ethic and a knack for making big plays.

He played college football at the University of Manitoba. In 2017, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Edmonton Eskimos. Today, he is a versatile receiver who can line up inside or outside, a threat to catch a long touchdown on any play.

Davin Ross was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 1994. While growing up, Davin loved playing football and other sports.

His family plays a big role in pushing him to achieve his dreams of playing professional football. Ross’s parents attended many of his games and supported him throughout his career.

The icon football journey began at the tender age of eight, playing for the St. Vital Cougars. His raw talent and unwavering commitment soon caught the attention of coaches and scouts. This sets him up for a remarkable career.

While in high school, he played football for the Sturgeon Heights Huskies of the Winnipeg High School Football League (WHSFL). Davin Ross soon became a standout player for the Huskies, and they named him a WHSFL All-Star in 2012.

After graduating from high school, Davin Ross attended the University of Manitoba. He played for the Bisons football team from 2013 to 2016.

Career

Davin Ross became a key player for the Bisons, and he helped them win the Canada West conference championship in 2015. They named him a Canada West All-Star in 2015 and 2016. Additionally, they named him a U Sports All-Canadian in 2016.

The Edmonton Eskimos signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He made the Eskimos’ 53-man roster and appeared in 13 games in his rookie season. He caught 25 passes for 309 yards and one touchdown.

In 2018, Ross became a full-time starter for the Eskimos. He caught 67 passes for 1,001 yards and four touchdowns. They named him to a CFL All-Star in 2018. Then they named him the Eskimos’ Most Outstanding Player.

Ross continued to be a star player for the Eskimos in 2019 and 2020. He caught 87 passes for 1,331 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019.

Also, he caught 68 passes for 1,058 yards and five touchdowns in 2020. He was named a CFL All-Star in both seasons.
