Who Is Chinedu Azodoh?
Chinedu Azodoh is a Nigerian well-known for establishing the first company to offer custom Electric Vehicles (EVs) for public transportation in Nigeria.
Personal Life (Early/recent)
Chinedu’s age, date of birth, and relationship status are unknown. However, it is believed that he is around 33 years old.
During his studies at Loyola Jesuit College, he was part of the Loyola Lions Football Team.
Career – Educational Background and Founding of MAX.ng
Chinedu Azodoh completed his Diploma at Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja, Nigeria, where he studied from 1999 to 2005.
He had his first degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, where he earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. His study period in Illinois was from 2007 to 2012, on a $200,000 Scholarship called Lila Self Leadership Academy Scholarship.
Barely two years after completing his Bachelor’s degree, he pursued his Master’s at the MIT Sloan School of Management, USA, from 2014 to 2015.
He got an invitation to the Plug and Play Startup Accelerator Program in 2015 but declined it. Instead, he opted for the Techstars NYC Accelerator Program.
In 2017, Chinedu was accepted into the accelerator XL Africa’s first cohort. He was also a participant in Alibaba’s Jack Ma eFounders Fellowship program.
In 2018, he participated in the Mastercard Start Path Program, a virtual program lasting for six months.
He is a finalist in the Forbes Africa #30Under30: Business and Technology Category 2019.
Chinedu Azodoh has extensive knowledge and skills in several areas, including Unix Shell Scripting, Python, public speaking, data analysis, Perl Script, Java, software engineering, MS PowerPoint, web services, and MySQL.
Co-founding of MAX.ng
Chinedu and Adetayo Bamiduro co-founded MAX.ng in 2015. MAX is a leading technology-driven company focused on solving mobility issues in Africa by pioneering Electric Vehicles (EVs). While Chinedu is the company’s Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Tayo holds the CEO position at MAX.ng.
He got the whole business idea when given an assignment during their Master’s studies in the United States.
As a result, he and Tayo had to return to Nigeria to establish the business in Lagos. They were actively involved in its operations and had to ride the bikes occasionally to deliver orders to customers. At this time, they had only three bike riders and five staff members.
MAX.ng is flourishing and has expanded to have 70 employees and more than 1,000 bike riders.
In fact, it was the first Nigerian company to design custom-made electric vehicles for public transit.
The company now offers financing to experienced drivers interested in using its electric motorcycles and tricycles to earn a living. Its drivers get to enjoy comprehensive vehicle and health insurance plans.
