Who is Brett Hundley?

Brett Alan Hundley Jr. popularly known as Brett Hundley is an American football player. He is currently a quarterback for the Vegas Vipers.

Before he joined the Vipers, he played for seven other teams, including Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens.

He is 6 ft 3 inches tall and weighs 103 kg. His current number is ‘2’ and his playing position is quarterback.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Brett Hundley was born June 15, 1993, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. He attended Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. During his time in high school, he was a part of the Wolves football team.

In his junior high school year, he completed 107 of 170 passes for 1,517 yards with 16 touchdown passes and two interceptions.

College Career

Brett Hundley attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and he was a part of the UCLA Bruins football program.

He was redshirted during the 2011 season and he began the 2012 season as a quarterback. Brett finished his college career in 2014 and in 2015, he entered the NFL draft.

Professional Career 

Green Bay Packers 

Brett Hundley was selected by the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in 2015.

In his first season with the team, he was one of the team’s quarterbacks alongside Aaron Rodgers and Scott Tolzien.

In October 2017, Hundley replaced Rodgers in the season’s game, completing 18-of-33 passes for 157 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

That same season, He had his first career reception on a 10-yard pass from wide receiver Randall Cobb on a trick play.

In his final season with the Packers, he finished with 1,836 passing yards, nine touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 270 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks

On August 29, 2018, Brett Hundley was signed by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round pick of the 2019 NFL draft.

Shortly after, he left the Seahawks to sign a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona Cardinals

On March 14, 2019, He signed a contract worth $1.88 million with the Arizona Cardinals.

Brett Hundley

He started out as a backup quarterback to Kyler Murray. On December 22, he was installed as a full quarterback.

Brett finished the 2019 season games with 4-of-9 passes for 49 yards and scrambled for 35 yards 

On March 27, 2020, Brett renewed his deal with the Arizona Cardinals which lasted for a year.

Indianapolis Colts

On July 31, 2021, the Indianapolis Colts signed Brett Hundley. The following month he was signed into the practice squad.

Brett transitioned between the practice squad and the active roster several times before the expiration of his contract in January 2022.

Baltimore Ravens

On May 26, 2022, Brett was signed by the Ravens but three months later, he was waived on August 16.

New Orleans Saints

He joined the training squad of the New Orleans Saints on November 2, 2022, and was released on November 8.

Baltimore Ravens (second stint)

On December 5, 2022, he joined the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad. His contract with the team expired on January 15, 2023.

Vegas Vipers

On January 30, 2023, Brett signed with the Vegas Vipers of the Exclusive Football League (XFL).
