Who Is Baaj Adebule?

Bandele Adetolu Adebule, popularly known as Baaj Adebule, is a Nollywood actor, filmmaker, and scriptwriter. He started his career in the entertainment industry as a model before delving into acting. 

Baaj rose to stardom for his supporting role as Captain Dave in ‘A Soldier’s Story,’ a 2015 movie by Frankie Ogar.

Personal Life (Early/recent)

Baaj Adebule is a native of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. He was born in Surulere, Lagos, on October 25, 1988. His father worked as a mechanical engineer, while his mother was an accountant and entrepreneur.

He attended the Seat of Wisdom Primary School, Surulere, and Caleb Secondary School in Maryland Lagos.

Afterward, he studied Economics at Covenant University Ota, Ogun State, and graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in 2009.

Upon graduation, Baaj got involved with arts and sports. He enjoys playing sports and watching anime, cartoons, or TV series.


Baaj Adebule began his career as a staff at MultiChoice for nearly two years. During his leisure time, he went for photoshoots and auditions. So, by 2010, he was already a model and an actor.

He contested in Mr. Nigeria Pageant in 2011 and came fourth. The following year, he started acting and modeling fully. His first movie role was in the series ‘Tinsel.’

Before his break into fame, he was featured in numerous TV series like Secrets and Scandals, Two Sides of a Coin, Studio, Lekki Wives, Deadline, and Happy Family.

He became the center of attention following his role as Captain Dave in ‘A Soldier’s Story.’ That same year, he appeared as a Janitor in ‘Road To Yesterday,’ a movie starring Genevieve Nnaji and Oris Erhuero. Baaj was also featured as Adze Tsenogu in ‘Hush.’

Some of his recent movies, TV series, and short films include Beast Within, Zena, Wrong Con, Rust, Requital, and Through the Fast Lane.

Baaj Adebule owns a production company called ‘House of Baaj Pictures,’ which he started in 2015. The first movie his company produced was ‘Seeing Betrayal,’ an award-winning short film, which he wrote and directed. It won the Best Short Film in Africa at the 2015 Zafaa Global Awards.

He was also nominated for Revelation of the Year – male category at the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards.
