About Arlington Renegades

Arlington Renegades is an American football team that was initially known as Dallas Renegades.

It is a professional football team that was created as one of the eight teams to makes up the XFL by McMahon of Alpha Entertainments.

In 2022, the team name was changed to Arlington Renegades after the XFL was purchased by RedBird Capital Partners.

The Renegades plays its home games at Choctaw Stadium and has its official team colors as Black, Light blue and Red

Arlington Renegades emerged overall winners of the 2023 XFL games and South Division games.

In December, 2018, Dallas became one of the cities where Exclusive Football League (XFL) created a football team.

Months later, Bob Stoops, a one time coach for Oklahoma Sooners football team became their head coach on February 7, 2019

The first defensive and offensive coordinators were Chris Woods and Hal Mumme respectively.

On August 21, 2019, the team name was revealed as Dallas Renegades and the official team logo was also unveiled.

The Renegades signed their first team player on October 15, 2019. Their first player was Landry Jones, a former Quarterback of NFL.

For their first game, they played against the St. Louis BattleHawks. The Battlehawks won by 15–9.

The first game  Renegades won was against the Los Angeles Wildcats. They won with a score of 25-18.

Their next win was against the Seattle Dragons by 24–12. 

Weeks later, The XFL announced the cancellation of the uncompleted 2020 XFL season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dallas renegades finished with a 2-3 record, before the XFL ended their activities for the season.

History as Arlington Renegades

On August 3, 2020, Alpha Entertainments sold off The XFL to RedBird Capital Partners.

The new owners of XFL Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, rehired Bob Stoops as the head coach of the renegade on April 13, 2022.

On July 24, 2022, The return of Dallas Renegades as Arlington Renegades was confirmed.

Arlington Renegades returned with a new logo unveiled on October 31, 2022.

Arlington Renegades have over 97 players on their roster. Some of their notable players include Lance Dunbar, Landry Jones, Rahim Moore, Aaron Adeoye, Marquette King, and Colin Schooler.

They have a few players on their reserve list both as unsigned Draft picks, undrafted and free agents.

Some of their reserve players are Tyrell Ajian, Connor Degenhardt, James Jackson, Connor Blumrick, Anthony Gordon and Harrison Hand.

Arlington Renegades have about five of their team players in different NFL teams.

In 2023, Arlington Renegades won two championships. One from XFL and the other from South Division games.

The 2023 XFL championship game was played at Alamodome stadium, San Antonio, Texas.

At the XFL championship game, the Arlington Renegades played against DC Defenders. The Renegades won the Defenders by 35-26.

The 2023 South Division championship game was played at TDECU Stadium, Houston, Texas.

At the South Division championship game, the Arlington Renegades played against the Houston Roughnecks. The Renegades won the Roughnecks by 26-11.


Arlington Renegades won 57%, lost 29% and had a 14% tie in their overall regular season games.

The Renegades won against San Antonio Brahmas, Los Angeles Wildcats and Vegas Vipers by 1-0.

They also won against Orlando Guardians by 2-1 and had a tie of 1-1 with Seattle Sea Dragons.

Arlington Renegades lost to DC Defenders and St Louis Battlehawks by 0-1 and 0-2 respectively.
