Allen Flanigan was born on April 24, 2001, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He grew up playing basketball in his hometown and attended Parkview Magnet High School.

His father, Wes Flanigan, is an assistant coach at Ole Miss. He has coached at Auburn, Little Rock, Mississippi State, Nebraska, UAB, and NW Mississippi CC.

He’s a former college basketball player who played for the University of Central Arkansas from 1989 to 1993. Wes has been coaching for over 20 years and has coached at various levels of college basketball.

Allen’s mother’s name is Katrina Flanigan; she’s a stay-at-home mom with two other children, aside from Allen. They’re, namely, Collin and Mike.

Both Collin and Mike are athletes as well. Collin is a former high school basketball player, and Mike is a current high school football player. Allen is close to his siblings and values their support.

Allen Flanigan’s passion for basketball ignited early in his life. His high school career unfolded at Parkview Magnet High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Under the guidance of Coach Donnie Watson, Flanigan’s talent blossomed, and he became a dominant force on the court. He soon led Parkview Magnet to two state championship titles, in 2018 and 2019. Thus showcasing his leadership skills and ability to elevate his teammates.

Flanigan’s collegiate basketball career began at Auburn University, where he played for four seasons from 2019 to 2023. His sophomore season (2020-2021) marked a turning point in Flanigan’s development.

He stepped up as a key player, averaging 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Thereby, earning first-team All-SEC honors as such, contributing significantly to Auburn’s NCAA Tournament appearance.

Over his tenure with the Tigers, Flanigan established himself as a reliable contributor, averaging 8.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game over 114 appearances.

Seeking new opportunities and challenges, Flanigan transferred to Ole Miss University in 2023. His arrival brought high expectations, and he was not disappointed. Flanigan has seamlessly integrated into the Rebels’ system, showcasing his versatility and ability to adapt to different playing styles.
