Who Is Ade Laoye?
Adejoke Laoye, popularly known as Ade Laoye, is a US-trained thespian, a fast rising Nollywood actress and an acting coach. She began her career abroad with musicals and stage plays, before she returned to Nigeria and got roles as an onscreen actress.

Ade Laoye is an indigene of Ede, Osun State,she was born April 5, 1984 in Dayton, Ohio, United States
After her birth, her family returned to Nigeria, so she was brought up in Lagos and Ibadan along with her four sisters
Ade Laoye is from a family of artistic talent, one of her cousins Nikki Laoye is a gospel artist.
She had her primary and secondary education in Nigeria, before she proceeded to the United States of America to study Theater Arts in Pennsylvania State University.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the Department of Theater Arts, and began her career in the States before she returned to Nigeria.
Upon graduation from the University, Ade Laoye stayed in the United States for six years as a stage actor. She started out her career in musical and stage plays in Philadelphia and New York.
She worked with a few theaters like Arden Theater Company, Walnut Street Theater and Off-broadway Company Theater works USA.
After which she served as an acting teacher in schools and summer camps.
Before she left the United States, she worked with a magazine company that was exclusively for theater goers known as ‘Playbill Magazine’.
In 2012, she returned to Nigeria and got a job as a presenter and Producer at Ebonylife TV.
Her debut role as an actress was in the movie ‘Knocking on Heaven’s Door’ in 2014. Later in the year, she got another role as ‘Lola’ in the television series ‘Dowry’.
The following year, she had a brief role as Miss Uche in the 2015 movie ‘Lunch Time Heroes’ and she took part in a short film titled ‘Erased’.
She came into the limelight after her role as Oye Agunbiade in the 2016 movie ‘Hush’
Upon her rise to fame, she has starred in several television series, shorts and movies including Inspector K, XOXO, Yelo Pèppè, Working With Shadows, Lizard and Collision Course.
Apart from acting in movies, Ade Laoye also teaches people the techniques and arts of the movie industry.
